I love this project! What a great team. And can’t wait for the book club to start. All things St. Pete just feels like all things Kerouac. Peace.

    To Whom It May Concern:
As a fifth-generation native of St. Petersburg and a librarian/comedian, I am so thrilled to see what you have been doing with The Jack Kerouac House. I was also actually born on Oct 21st, the day he died so it has always been weird to celebrate knowing that we lost one of our greatest writers on that same day. Anyway, I am looking forward to taking part in the On the Road book club so if you would like me to participate in any of the readings or events, please let me know.

A wonderful site about St. Pete’s famous resident, Jack Kerouac. Thanks for all your work! I think Jack is smiling down from that other world where he lives.

Although I did not ride on the bike tour, I took a lot of photos that day and will leave a photo cd with Dale at the Flamingo. Many of the Beats used mimeographs to publish their books. Today’s digital mimeographs and ‘zines’ made with copiers ( could be used locally to get more of the young people into publishing their Beat writings. Zine contest mabye?

I found at my feet the same blood thirst for literature that dear Jack had and I will carry it all the way through just like he did.
